Type OF mAriNe PumPS

Today i want to tell about types of marine pump because pump is one of the very important component in a vessel. A pump is a device used to move fluids, such as liquids or slurries, or gases. A pump displaces a volume by physical or mechanical action. Here are the example of pumps that used in a vessel:

Bilge pump - A pump to remove water that collects in the bottom of a ship.

Fresh water pump - Provide a constant flow from tank to faucet.

Fuel pump - A pump for drawing fuel from a storage tank and delivering it to an
engine or furnace.

Drill water pump - Transferring liquids such as fresh water, sea water, dilute
organic solvents, motor oil, heating oil, insecticides and
liquid fertilizers.

Oil transfer pump - The pump can be used to remove old oil from the engine, then
with the integral reversing switch, the flow direction can be
changed to pump a measured amount of new oil back into the
engine.

Circulating pump - A circulator pumis a specific type of pump used to ciculate
gases, liquids slurries in a closed circuit. They are commonly
found circulatingwater in a hydronic heating or cooling system.

Centrifugal pump - Centrifugal pump can deliver fresh water and seawater. The
characteristics can be used in various shippings. The pumps can
be used as cooling freshwater, cooling seawater, seawater
services, blige ballast, fire and general services.
